The hotel Goya has an agreement with Golf Club Versilia, easily reacheable with our rentable bikes. This Golf Club is a beautiful 18- holes with Apuane Alps in the background, and was recently improved and renewed.
The Tennis Club at just 500 mt. from the Hotel will allow you to practise a sport that doesn't only mean performance, but that's basically a very good way to wellness. In the tennis club you can also play on evening thanks to the lighting system.
Sail, windsurf and water skiing at 1 km from the Hotel. The wind and the sea in all this area create the best conditions for this sports.
Horse riding lies at 2 km away from us. Feel the emotion of a ride in the beautiful pine-wood of Forte dei Marmi or enjoy the beauty of a ride on the shore.

Visits

Forte dei Marmi is at the centre of art and culture in Tuscany and it takes very little time to go to art centres such as Lucca, Pisa, Firenze, Siena, San Gimignano, Carrara and Torre del Lago Puccini . You can also visit the enchanting Cinque Terre on the Ligurian coast.

From the Versilia coast, with only 30 minutes by car, you can visit two of the most known art cities in Tuscany: PISA, with its Leaning Tower and the marvellous Miracle's Square, not forgetting important monuments witnessing the history of one of the "four maritime Republics"; LUCCA, the town with hundred churches, circled by imposant walls remembering its middle-age origin and rich of artistic treasures like the S. Martin's cathedral, the church of S. Michele, the Guinigi Tower...

Morever, for the nature lovers, not far from Pisa, the opportunity of visiting the Natural Park of Migliarino, San Rossore and Massaciuccoli, where you can meet fallow-deer, hawks and herons.

Firenze

Hand up who doesn't know Florence!

Speak about this town, unique in the word, it's superfluous: it would need pages and pages and still not enough.

Everything in Florence remembers its past splendour under the Medici's family: the palaces, the churches, the monuments, the air so special...

The Florentine museums are the keepers of some of the most important masterpieces in the word and under the Old Bridge flows the Arno river, immutable witness of the time.

Siena and San Gimignano

Driving from Florence trough the Chianti hills, one joins SIENA, the town of the "Palio": the horses race in the old "Piazza del Campo", where the entire population divided in quarters takes part. The prize for the winner is the "Drappellone" and the celebration is all night long, with dances, songs, and wine on the streets.

But Siena is not only the Palio, is also monuments, museums, palaces talking about the Middle-Age, time in which was founded like the near San Gimignano, the "town of the towers", small jewel of old architecture set in the green and in the gold of the tuscan country.

Carrara and cinque terre

Towards north, from Forte dei Marmi, surely CARRARA worth a visit. Famous small town for its marble quarries, from which Michelangelo took the material for the masterpieces like the "David" or "La Pietà". Going on, one comes to the Ligurian border, to the "5 Terre", where in small villages like Lerici, Portovenere or Riomaggiore the time seems to sleep, where it's nice to relax or feel the emotion of a boat trip.

For who prefer the history, can drive to the LUNIGIANA, where many castles and old roman sites are the owners.
